A little help from my friends!!

Hey better late than never right!!! I love getting inspired via others!!! This color combo was born out of the  blog The Memory Nest.  This is May's color challenge.  I saw a tweet from Lesile about Memorial Day markdowns... and I wondered around her shop for a bit, but found myself on her blog!!! I saw the picture for the May color challenge and fell in love!! I was super happy too... cause I knew I had a prefect picture!!
I took this picture of my baby son's knee!! Random I know... but I was playing with Instagram. I swear he wore this outfit only 3 or 4 times before growing out of it... so I am glad I was able to snap a photo of him in it.

Want to know how I came up with this title? I didn't... Thanks to BobbysGirlForever on Instagram for helping me with this one!!! I hope I did you proud Linda. (Here is the photo on Instagram)  Anywho, if you look at the layout, it is really really simple. Background, 3 pieces of paper, and I matted the photo on some regular white cardstock. Not much for layering or embellishments... but I did get a little brad happy!!! I must have like 60 brads on this layout( ok more like 18ish) then I did some paint dotting, added sequins.  That cute dino... I got him at the Scrapbook Expo last year!! So glad I didn't use him before. My older guys weirdly enough don't play much with their dinos. I think I got the dino stickers when the show Dino Dan just came out.  But Lord help me I really hate that show... so I don't let the boys watch it... (the acting... is not... it's more like pausing... sorry it's true) also those little mini dinos are from Michaels. That's about it for the layout... any questions or comments ask below!! Thanks for reading and Thanks for the help my Scrappy Friends!!

  4. Jes, your layouts always rock my socks and this one is no exception. I am proud to have been able to be a small part of the completion process of this DINOMITE layout!!!

Funny how you mention your older guys not playing with their dinos much. Dinosaurs were a BIG thing in our house during the early 90s. I still have the original VHS tape, The Land Before Time that was watched over and over and over again by all four of my sons (even my daughters loved it, as did I). My eldest son had a dino birthday party and replicas of the prehistoric wonders were plentiful at just about any store! Seeing your post on Instagram took me quickly back in time to the nights I would tuck my little dinos into bed.

I totally love your use of brads, sequins and paint dots. The little dino with his head turned, looking at your baby boy's jammies, is priceless. Beautifully executed layout!
