I am late to the game I know... but I just couldn't handle the money for a tape dispenser. Even though some of my friends and fellow YT scrappers SWEAR by it... I resisted. Anyway I got on a kick for tapes and I was using Ad Techs disposable ones that you can get at TJMaxx and Marshalls and Tuesday morning... but the waste is nutty. The cost was pretty good, but it was so short lived. I did about 3 layouts per runner. So I was on the way to the Scrapbook Expo this past weekend ( see video) and had on my mind that if I saw it being sold there I would buy it.
Of course I didn't see it!! So today I checked my apps for coupons and ACMoore had a 55% off coupon. Now since last week I have been checking all local stores to find the best price. I even used another coupon to buy the refills (yes before I had the glider) LOL... Anywho I used the 55% off coupon at Michaels to get this set.
I posted on a Facebook group that I got the glider and got a lot of useful tips to a new comer!! Thanks everyone... here are some tips from FB and a newbie(me)
* practice before using the glider on a project
*saves money on tapes
*kind of press up and away to break tape
*you can rub off the tape before really pressing it down
*watch a video to learn how to load/reload the glider... this is the video I watched (I <3 MercyTiara)
Thanks for reading everyone... now I just have to just find where I put those refills I
already brought... LOL
p.s. Here is a link for Amazon... in case you wanted to order online

Storage of Scraps
Just a quick post on how I store my scraps and sticker collection. I picked these folders in Amazing Savings (location list) which is like a Dollar Tree but things are not only a dollar.... like a chain Thrift store. Anyway... this store has a ton of scrapbooking stuff most K&Company and random brands. I didn't label the scraps just put in color order. The stickers I had a few more categories so I had to. Follow me on Youtube to see a video with more information!!

Soft Summer
What is summer without a cup of soft serve??
So just to make sure the summer would be complete the boys and I took care of this "task" early!! June 19th to be exact!! Here are some details of the products I pulled....Let's talk about the title... As you might of guessed I took inspiration from the sprinkles as far as the rainbow colors.... After I thought up the title (a real stretch LOL) but then I had the challenge of finding the fonts I had more than 3 colors of... 7 in fact!! Then I grabbed my letters album and searched... this is where I remembered I had those My Minds Eye block letter stickers!! They worked out perfectly!! I had decided I wanted to use the card stock sticker sheet from the Sprinkled with Love collection ... even before the title was thought of... just cause it matched so well with the papers I picked!
Now on to the papers. I used papers from older collections as well as more resent ones. Studio Calico's Lemon Lush and the Print Shop with the American Crafts 5th & Frolic. A Print Shop collection paper is the background. I believe I ordered that from Two Peas(see next line)
That cute "True Story" badge was from Two Peas ( insert ohhhs and sad faces here...)
Puffy sticker of Love and arrow is a MAMBI sticker. I found more than a few of those at Mike's a couple of months back... but I know for sure that they have new ones out!!! The adhesive on those MAMBI sticks are insanely good!!!
The rest of this layout are just great wonders from my stash!!! I hope you like this layout and if you got inspired from this one... let me know and share!!!

First one back!
Hey CSM!!
So I have finished my Christmas 2013 Smashbook (click here for flip thru video) and this is going to be my first 12x12 in about 2 months!! I picked a photo I could concentrate on the colors ie. a picture without a person in it. I find that when I take a long break from one way or the other the best "start back" layouts come from photos I don't have to "make sense". Does that make sense??
I mean if I had a picture with the boys walking on the sidewalk... I would have to have the embellies relate to walking, the boys, where we were going, the season etc... But when I use a photo with say this flower I can just do the colors and embellies I want. Simple. I will share the final layout after I finish!! Have a great coming week!!

Circa...
Hey CSM!!! How is everyone? I hope your December has not been too crazy for you all! So this layout was a fluke really... my dad gave me a ton of photos from my childhood. These two popped out at me. My dress from 8th grade prom was black and white and my 12th grade prom dress was light cream. But the Sr. prom pic was far enough away that I thought black, white and red would just work. My date was wearing a white tux so that sealed the color choices for me.
I was inspired by the latest 213 in 2013 video for the Two Peas site... here is my post there. Have you guys gone back to scrap old photos like this??

Lover Of Purple
Purple is by far by favorite color and I don't get to use it a lot while scrapbooking about my boys. So I was definitely excited to start looking thru my stack of purple papers and bits!! The only thing about this layout that I didn't like was I HAD to use my favorite paper ever :) ... Bird Song collection Enlightenment by Graphic 45. I even posted on Instagram about not wanting to use it... I was hoarding it I know. Listen I had 2 sheets... I used the first sheet to create my Filofax cover and this sheet I was holding on to... but it was just to prefect not to use! I used papers from: Graphic 45, My Minds Eye, Studio Calico, Sn@p, Recollection by Michaels and American Crafts. Heidi Swapp, Studio Calico, American Crafts and other bits from my stash for the embellishments! Here is the link for the TwoPeasInABucket video by Lisa Dickinson and here are pictures on my layout! See if you get inspired by it too!! I'm posting on my TwoPeas account also... Look for the post in the Gallery!!

Scrapbook kit Clubs
I have been jones'in to get into a scrapbook club for months now... but never was able to. I remember for my birthday this year in March I had planned to sign up for Studio Calico. But it sold out within 2 mins. THAT left a BAD taste in my mouth. I have to say that since then the "scrapbook kit monopoly" has been broken and there are WAY more clubs out there!!! Which presents another problem.... which one to choose! So I am asking my CSM'ers which clubs do you belong to?? What do you like about them??
Thanks everyone... I'm thinking either December or January to start!!

Summer was a blur and with 2 of my 3 boys going to school now I am still just as busy as in the summer, only now I am doing home every night!! I have had sometime to create and plan tho!!! I also went to the Scrapbook Expo with Nicole!! We shopped and hung out it was fun!! I have videos on Youtube showing all my hauls... check them out below.
About this blog... since this blog is for my hobby I am no longer going to feel bad about not posting... I hate feeling like I HAVE to post!! I wish I had something mobile to with. I have a Kindle Fire and a Galaxy s3 but I haven't found that those are great for Blogger. So I can only get to posting when I have 10mins or so alone... which hardly happens. That being said I have some old news to get to. IF YOU WON THE NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY mini contest I had PLEASE contact me again with you info. I still have your winnings but I don't have the addys.
New stuff: I'm doing my own December Daily and getting my Halloween layouts too!! Follow me on Youtube and Instagram to see more from me!!! Thanks everyone... Also check the Gallery link above to see more pictures and what not!!

Grey Skies layout
This is one of those layouts... I was just not sure about how I was going to embellish. I did however know I wanted to have some sort of bright paper in the background. The leaf paper is from that Amy Tan paper pad I picked up at Big Lots a few weeks ago!! (the camera paper too!!) The Heidi Swapp arrows are treated with Heidi Swapp Color Shine and blue and black inks!! I also used the new to Michaels Heidi Swapp stencil (with the hearts, dots and stars)! I loved the stripes on the side and bottom...turning the eye to the bottom and going up at an angle. Those sequins are from my stash and surrounding them are dots of black matte acrylic paint. I hope you guys like this one... any questions let me know!

A little help from my friends!!
Hey better late than never right!!! I love getting inspired via others!!! This color combo was born out of the blog The Memory Nest. This is May's color challenge. I saw a tweet from Lesile about Memorial Day markdowns... and I wondered around her shop for a bit, but found myself on her blog!!! I saw the picture for the May color challenge and fell in love!! I was super happy too... cause I knew I had a prefect picture!!
I took this picture of my baby son's knee!! Random I know... but I was playing with Instagram. I swear he wore this outfit only 3 or 4 times before growing out of it... so I am glad I was able to snap a photo of him in it.
Want to know how I came up with this title? I didn't... Thanks to BobbysGirlForever on Instagram for helping me with this one!!! I hope I did you proud Linda. (Here is the photo on Instagram) Anywho, if you look at the layout, it is really really simple. Background, 3 pieces of paper, and I matted the photo on some regular white cardstock. Not much for layering or embellishments... but I did get a little brad happy!!! I must have like 60 brads on this layout( ok more like 18ish) then I did some paint dotting, added sequins. That cute dino... I got him at the Scrapbook Expo last year!! So glad I didn't use him before. My older guys weirdly enough don't play much with their dinos. I think I got the dino stickers when the show Dino Dan just came out. But Lord help me I really hate that show... so I don't let the boys watch it... (the acting... is not... it's more like pausing... sorry it's true) also those little mini dinos are from Michaels. That's about it for the layout... any questions or comments ask below!! Thanks for reading and Thanks for the help my Scrappy Friends!!
